Dr James Teo is a consultant neurologist with an interest in stroke and Parkinson’s Disease. He began his undergraduate medical training at University of Oxford and Royal Free Medical School. His postgraduate training was throughout the south-east included Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge, Royal Marsden Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital, University College London Hospital and included a PhD in Clinical Neurology at the prestigious UCL Institute of Neurology, Queen Square. He has written more than 25 peer-reviewed academic papers on topics ranging from Parkinson’s Disease to stroke, and his submission to the Michael J Fox Parkinsons Data Challenge in 2012 on the use of smartphones in Parkinson’s Disease was awarded an Honorable Mention. This work has led him into the domain of wearables and using digital technology for health.
